The Dream
I had been looking at the sculptures of the great 19th century artist Rodin, and as well as his famous iconic Sculptures like the Thinker, he made a lot of beautiful sculptures of young women emerging from the marble. This was part of a movement called “Truth to Materials”, where the material that it was made from is made obvious to the viewer by leaving areas roughly hewn.
