The Dream
I had been looking at the sculptures of the great 19th-century artist Rodin, and, in addition to his famous iconic Sculptures like the Thinker, he created many beautiful sculptures of young women emerging from the marble. This was part of a movement called “Truth to Materials”, where the material that it was made from is made obvious to the viewer by leaving areas roughly hewn.
