Flora
Flora was a model that I had when I was teaching how to make a portrait bust, and my method of teaching was to do one stage and for the class to follow me as I do it. At the end of the three-day class, I had a good portrait but hadn't bothered to finish the hair or any of the details, and I wondered what to do with her. I had recently finished the Dream sculpture, where I had loosely finished the areas in clay. The flowers and the hair are roughly made with wet clay.
